Connector
Hebby in your chat app.
One address for all hosted Hebby instances. Connect, sign in with your Hebby account, done.

What the connector is
The connector lets you use your hosted Hebby directly in chat apps such as Claude or ChatGPT. The address is the same for all customers:
https://mcp.app.hebby-memories.com/mcp
You do not need to know the address of your own instance. When you connect, you sign in with the email address and password of your Hebby account. The connector then forwards you to your own instance. From then on the chat app talks to your Hebby and to no one else's.
You need a hosted Hebby. More on the pricing page.
Claude (claude.ai, desktop app, mobile app)
- In Claude, open Settings and go to "Connectors".
- Choose "Add custom connector".
- Enter
Hebbyas the name andhttps://mcp.app.hebby-memories.com/mcpas the address. - Click "Connect" and sign in with the email address and password of your Hebby account.
Alternatively you can add the connector from the connector directory, if Hebby is listed there. The connector applies to Claude in the browser, in the desktop app and in the mobile app.
Claude Code
Add the connector in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http hebby https://mcp.app.hebby-memories.com/mcp
Then type /mcp in Claude Code, select "hebby" and sign in.
ChatGPT
Add Hebby in ChatGPT as a custom app (connector). Menu names can differ between versions; you will usually find the place under "Settings > Apps". Enter the same address https://mcp.app.hebby-memories.com/mcp and choose OAuth as the sign-in method. Then sign in with your Hebby account. Depending on your plan, ChatGPT may require you to turn on developer mode before you can add custom connectors.
What happens when you connect
- The chat app appears as its own agent in your Hebby portal under "Agents". There you can restrict its permissions or disable it.
- To disconnect, remove the connector in the chat app, disable the agent in the portal, or both.
- Access tokens expire after 1 hour, refresh tokens after 30 days. After that you sign in again.
Tools
The chat app can call these tools. No tool deletes data.
| Tool | What it does | Access |
|---|---|---|
start_context | Loads your memory rules and a context id at the start of a chat. | read |
search_memories | Searches memories by meaning, wording and names. | read |
get_memory | Fetches one memory by its id. | read |
map | Shows the parent, children and neighbours of a thing. | read |
zoom | Shows all memories attached to a thing. | read |
open_tasks | Lists open tasks. | read |
add_thing, add_decision, add_anti_pattern, add_behavior, add_event, add_information, add_state | Stores a new memory of that type. | write |
update_memory | Creates a new version of a memory. The old version stays readable. | write |
flag_memory | Marks a memory as doubtful. Nothing is deleted. | write |
submit_feedback | Records which of the memories shown were useful for the answer, so Hebby learns the ranking. | write |
Examples
You do not have to name tools. The chat app picks the right one itself. For example:
- "What did we decide about the pricing page?" (the app searches your memories)
- "Remember that our invoices go to accounting@example.com." (the app stores a new memory)
- "Which tasks are still open for the website?" (the app lists the open tasks)
Data and support
Only search queries and the memories the assistant writes reach Hebby, plus the ids and feedback these need. The rest of the conversation does not go to Hebby. Everything is stored in your own instance on the server in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Details are in the privacy policy.
